The writer of Ecclesiastes says we are all subject to times and seasons, events and situations over which we have little or no control. Many of us feel uncomfortable with such uncertainty, but God is unchanging, and what he does will weather the changes of time. Because the Bible records his work in every season of life, it has a message for people, whatever situation they face.
Our Vision Statement for South End Baptist Church is:
To develop active, caring disciples of Jesus Christ who draw people to God.
This statement is indicative of the fact that we desire to live in obedience to the Great Commission that God has given to all believers and trust Him to provide His resources for every area of our lives. As we learn to trust the Lord for our needs we will then be able to serve hope to this community by offering Christ to them in accordance with His purpose for all of us.
